Child Abuse Prevention Month

April 23, 2015 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Since 1985, April has been nationally recognized as Child Abuse Prevention Month. The Michigan Children’s Trust Fund has used this special time each year to acknowledge the importance of families and communities working together to prevent child maltreatment in all its forms.

This year on April 23, 2015, at 11:00 AM please join the MI CTF as it hosts the 7th annual State of Michigan’s Prevention Awareness Day rally, procession and pinwheel ‘garden’ planting event in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month. (Note: The pinwheel is the nationally recognized symbol for child abuse and neglect prevention. It also symbolizes the belief that every child has the right to grow and flourish to his/her full potential within a nurturing environment.)

Please share Prevention Awareness Day information with others and we hope to see you there! This video below is from the 2014 Prevention Awareness Day Rally held on April 22, 2014.
