We are pleased to offer an opportunity to receive advanced training in appellate advocacy. Training exercises will feature real case scenarios. We will send participants a reasonably sized “record” upon registering for the training. They will have six weeks to submit a brief that will include a statement of facts and a one-issue argument. A panel of appellate professionals will review the brief and offer a critique. On June 21, 2012 participants will present a mock oral argument in front of currently presiding Court of Appeals judges. The judges will provide feedback on participants’ oral advocacy. This advanced training is designed to provide participants with the tangible skills necessary to improve their appellate advocacy.
