Workshop Speaker: Alisha Ali, Ph.D.

This interactive workshop will empower participants to engage their own self-knowledge and sense of social justice to envision new ways to help those most in need. Evidence-supported strategies for treating the intersecting effects of trauma, racism, poverty, and trauma within immigrant groups will be presented. Participants will gain new knowledge and skills in partnering with each other, with families, and with the broader community in creating healing and growth by drawing upon our universal capacities for empathy, compassion and human connection.
