CDC’s WISQARS™ (Web-based Injury Statistics Query and Reporting System) is an interactive, online database that provides fatal and nonfatal injury, violent death, and cost of injury data from a variety of trusted sources.
This program will focus on the medical aspects of child physical abuse, sexual abuse and neglect. It will provide an understanding of the mechanisms by which injuries are inflicted and the scientific basis for medical determinations as to whether abuse has or has not occurred.
