Building a Legal Arsenal to Defend Clients

Representing parents in child protective proceedings requires specialized knowledge of child welfare law and procedure. This full-day training provides participants with knowledge, skills, and techniques that will leave them well-equipped to effectively advocate for their clients. Topics will include: Preserving Issues for Appeal, Understanding the Rules of Evidence, Case Law/Statute Updates – Issues to Watch, and group analysis and problem solving. In addition to learning through substantive instruction, participants will have the opportunity to participate in workgroup discussions about issues specific to their current cases.
Target Audience: Attorneys representing parents in child protective proceedings.
