December 9, 2013 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The webinar is free of charge and requires no special software. RSVP by emailing  [email protected] or using the contact form on their website, healthymindsnetwork.org. In your RSVP message, please include the following information:

  • Your name and email address

  • Questions/comments related to social media and mental health for our panelists to address (optional)

The webinar will feature two panelists, Dr. Cliff Lampe and Blake Wagner III:

During the first half of the webinar, Dr. Lampe will present an overview of trends and uses of social media in adolescent and young adult populations. In the second half of the webinar, Blake Wagner III and Rebecca Lindsay will present new mental health interventions that are designed to leverage social media: a video-based intervention inkblots, and a peer-to-peer based life skills and stress management social media platform (tinyshifts). Both projects are being developed at University of Michigan and share a common goal: to help spur a cultural shift in how mental and emotional health is perceived and managed among young adult populations.

You can view a sample of the inkblots videos at inkblots.com.
