PREP:CAP An Update of Child Abuse Pediatrics

PREP®:CAP provides an update of child abuse pediatrics for those individuals preparing for the American Board of Pediatrics Subspecialty Certifying Examination in Child Abuse Pediatrics or Maintenance of CertificationTM (MOC).
PREP®:CAP is also designed for all medical professionals who provide health care to children. A significant amount of content regarding many forms of child maltreatment is presented at the course. This content is geared toward what the general pediatrician, family physician, emergency medicine physician, hospitalist, critical care physician, allied health professional, or other generalist or specialist needs to know in order to care for children who have been subjected to abuse or neglect.
The course highlights some hot topics in the field of Child Abuse Pediatrics including:
- Differentiating Abusive Head Trauma from Accidental Trauma and Other Causes
- Fractures: Controversies and Mimics
- Genital Findings in Case of Sexual Abuse and Mimics of Sexual Abuse
