Patrick Sharkey, NYU associate professor of Sociology and author of the recently published book, Stuck in Place: Urban Neighborhoods and the End of Progress toward Racial Equality, will present a seminar on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 as part of the 2013-2014 Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health & Society Scholars program Invited Speaker Series on population health issues.

“The Effects of Violence on Urban Life” is the title of Dr. Sharkey’s seminar. It will take place in the School of Public Health (1415 Washington Heights) from 4:00 – 5:30 pm in Lane Auditorium, room 1690.
